Thrilled to Announce my Fellow Island Batik Ambassador's Accomplishment

Morning Quilters and sewers alike. I am pleased to announce that my friend and Island Batik Ambassador Suzy Webster has released her first book

Suzy Webster has been a quilter since age eight when she arranged some scrap triangles and told her mother, “You should sew it like this.”  She’s been designing quilts from a young age and enjoys being creative.  One of the things Suzy loves about quilting is that the possibilities are endless.
Suzy lives in Apple Valley, Minnesota with her husband Andrew, two sons (both of whom have already made their first quilts), and two birds.  She teaches fifth grade and enjoys teaching quilting locally.
She has been entering competitions since college and has many quilt show ribbons to her credit including Road to California, Machine Quilter’s Exposition, The American Quilter’s Society Shows, and International Quilt Festival.  Suzy has also become an Island Batik Ambassador for 2016.
Suzy loves applique and machine quilting.  They are her favorite parts of quilting.  She even started a blog about applique and quilting to explore new ideas.  Visit Suzy and check out what she’s learned and what she’s working on at her blog:  websterquilt.blogspot.com.  She loves to see your finished quilts!

Her work is unbelievable. I am excited and cannot wait to receive my copy so I can make some of her projects...

As an Island Batik Ambassador she share with her fellow ambassadors her projects and is always available to chat when we have questions. We currently as ambassadors are doing a Seaside Summer Blog Hop and her work is something that is hard to compete with. This link will bring you to her award winning quilts so head over and check out Suzy's Award Winning Quilts . You won't regret it...

One of my favorite pieces Suzy did was her Floral Kaleidoscope Quilt. Click to see part one of the process as she made her Floral Kaleidoscope Quilt then there are the other 5 steps listed on the right side of her page to view how this quilt grew into a vision of beauty.

One of the items on my bucket list is to meet Suzy and see her work in person. She should be proud of herself, especially in this day in age knowing the up roar of what has happen in the quilt industry lately. So many things are so uncertain in this industry and Suzy didn't let that stop her... She is a power house with her talent...

Congratulations Suzy your fellow ambassadors at Island Batik are proud of you and your accomplishments...
