A New Machine can Make the Difference

When I heard a friend of mine was helping sell items for a friend of hers many of my fellow guild members ears perked right up. When a quilter hears fabric sale ladies and guys flock like apes in a stampede. How can anyone give up a good sale. Insane right!!! Well one of the items for sale was this machine, a Baby Lock Ellegante Embroidery and Quilting Machine. Totally digital and computerized... Truly a quilters dream. I asked how much. When she told me the price my jaw just about became detached from my mouth... I told my husband how much it was and what it would cost brand new, told him I just can in good justice (like he would deny me anyway) give up a sale like this... I did have to agree to sell a few things of mine and I do have to learn this machine so that it will make me money at one point in time...

Isn't this a beaut... I so love new shiny toys... Well I just had to turn this on and play... OMG!!! Look at what this machine can do.

The leaf here is a digitized quilt design. The feathered motif I embroidered. So you can see that this machine can do a tone of stuff...

This is digitized quilting I did on my friend Emily's table runner. So you can see why I want to do this for a living...

So with all of that said I will be offering hopefully at the beginning of the year I will be offering Embroidery and Quilting Services. See the pages I have on my blog labeled Quilting Services. Currently I offer Binding of quilts. Now I will offer a full range of services for quilting...

I do hope you enjoyed what you have seen, enjoy the beautiful fall weather and as always Happy Quilting...

My newest Toy

Well I am so sorry that I have been absent from posting but this summer has proven to be very busy... I do hope all of you have had a great summer and the weather was good to you. So with that said:

Happy Autumn

With the air being cold and crisp it is the perfect time of year to start that baking of breads and goodies in the oven, get the hot apple cider cooking and organize those fall and winter projects.

I am designing up a storm, and working on some YouTube Tutorials with the hopes of releasing them at the beginning of the year. I also have been busy getting ready to go to Quilt Market for this October.

I also got myself a new toy for embroidery that I would love to share with all of you.

Last Saturday I met up with a friend who was selling stuff from a friends house down south and amongst one of the things along with making fabric was this beauty.

Yup it's a Baby Lock Ellegante! What a wonderful machine this is... I was playing last night and created a few things with the sewing part of the machine. It isn't anything great but nonetheless I was getting the feel for my machine.

Now if you think that's kool check this out I think I figured the embroidery part out too. I did this, this morning, figuring that I should try and use the hoops and the programmable stuff stored in the flash drive I was given and entered my hubby's name. So I thought I would make something for my hubby out of this. I started with his name. How do you like this:

I am hoping to make a mug rug or something in hopes he likes it... I think I am going to like this machine a whole lot and thread will be on my list when I go to Houston this October for sure...
