Boy O'Boy Wait til You See This

Well everyone I have been in turmoil trying to make sure my quilt/sewing studio the best it can be... I have been hunting for over a year for front facing handles for my quilt machine that sits on my Handi Quilt Frame. Currently I have rear handles and it makes quilting my projects incredibly difficult... Well after some 30 different websites and countless hours of searching I found the handles and pedestal and they will be here in about five days... Now all I need is a stitch regulator so that I can continue to create my passions in life...

Here is a picture of what will be coming in the mail... I can hardly wait for UPS to arrive... I do love my men in brown...

I Just so had to Share

I must admit my husband was very much trying to save money and reuse something he had gotten from a job site, as he usually does... I such a Duggar... I love to either get free or buy used and save the difference... So when he dug out this old toilet from the shed, I looked at it and said to him do you think honestly I would allow this rusty old thing in my house... I can not think so... His exact words "Honey I promise (you know what happens when hubbys say this) This will be fine.... So as he was trying to clean this and make it look acceptable for me, almost two hours later, he opened the lid and noticed a huge crack on the bowl. All I have to say is yeah a new toilet that is a luxury high rise...no more trying to get my poor aching body off this stupid thing that feels like it is on the floor... So with that said I decided to be a good person and recycle, as I think we should try to reuse items and not to damage the earth... I chose to take the toilet from my bathroom, and use it in a very positive way... A twitter friend of mine has told me I should use it a the next back drop for my next quilt... Please share your thoughts...

MQX in Providence Rhode Island

Yesterday I had a wonderful chance to go to MQX in RI. I went with a few ladies from my guild... We looked at everything...
All I can say is next year I think I will bring a rolling cart so I can put the things I buy in it and won't feel like my arms are going to fall off...  here are some pics...

The Girls at MQX RI

One of my favorite booths the Christmas Shoppe had so much stuff
This both has tons that I wanted to buy, I wish I had a ton of money so I could buy everything...I think if I go next year I will have to start saving up for what I want to buy...
This Candy Corn wall hanging is so me... Will have to find this on line...
I love when quilters express their Red & White creations. They are so adorable....
I just love playful stuff. I makes me feel like a kid again...
This quilt won first prize for "Best in Show" just an exquisite piece of work...

And what would the Expo be with out those toys we all love... I tried the Tin Lizzie long arm quilt machine... OMG!!! I so need this machine... One of these days I told my husband, we will have to figure a way to get this. I think I would be one happy girl, but then again who wouldn't...

I used it like a pro...

Some Wonderful News

Hello everyone I have some wonderful news to share with all of you. It is official I am getting published... Now we must not get too excited as I cannot share the full and complete photo with you until December of this year... I have joined two wonderful women who have given me the greatest gift one could have... "The Quilt Pattern Magazine" has allowed me to be part of a large number of armature designers to be published in their on line magazine. For past issues and their most current issue please see www.thequiltpatternmagazine.com and see what they have to offer... I am please to be involved with a magazine that is very Eco friendly...  The fact that this magazine is part of saving the earth by making available a magazine on-line makes me feel like I am taking part in saving the earth we all live on...

Trust me when I say that this magazine is the future of what magazines will be offering...

Working on Design #3

Well quilters I have been working very hard on designing so that I can continue to submit to magazines in order to get published... I have been sewing and working on the computer a lot lately and I have been working on two designs at one time... Silly me what was I thinking... Not that I like to multitask, which I do.... So here is a block I created this morning for something I will be making for possible submission... I thought it spoke spring and I love the fabric I got at SewFabulous... I hope you like and I really encourage your feedback...

A Different Kind of Blog Post

Did you ever think as a blogger that when you post something, how many people see your post... Especially if you share on Facebook and on Twitter... Any number of people can see what you write and comment on the facts you deliver... I am somewhat new to quilting but have over 8yrs experience in blogging... I have had blogs about scrappbooking, card making, candle making and now quilting, which I can say is my most successful type of blog.  The posts I enjoy doing and I love hearing from all of my followers... I would love to know from some of more faithful followers how you become so successful in blogging and in your business... The networking you do here helps everyone involved...

The quilts I create here I love sharing with all of you because I learn from all who have been quilting longer than me... I listened to a wonderful radio show on the Internet today. It was on American Patchwork Quilters http://toginet.com/shows/americanpatchworkandquiltingradio and Pat Sloan had a particular guest on who I have been inspired by. Heather Jones from http://www.oliveandollie.com did a wonderful segment talking about the Modern Quilt Guild she is involved with and the fact that she has her new line of patterns available on Esty... She also has been published in a book available on amazon called: Seaside-Home. I can only say I am looking forward to getting my copy in the mail and reading it... Congratulations to Heather Jones for her success... I have learned so much from both Heather and Pat and I too will be able to achieve great success if I follow what I have learned...

So when I say this was "A Different Kind of Blog Post" I guess what I was trying to say was that I wanted to share information with all of you, and not so much a creation I created, but rest assure I will be posting a sneak peak of my next design very soon...

Share your thoughts with me and follow if you want, all are welcome...
